“Airway Screening: What Are You Looking For and What Do the Findings Mean?"

Airway health is becoming an increasingly important part of comprehensive dental care, but knowing what to look for during an airway screening and understanding what those findings may mean is the first step.
Join myofunctional therapist Joy Lantz for an educational look at airway screening, including what to assess, what findings may indicate, and how those findings can help you better understand your patients.
During the presentation, Joy will use real airway screening examples and Oryx’s integrated airway screening tools to demonstrate what clinicians should be looking for and how to interpret their findings.
At the end of the session, Oryx will join Joy for a live demonstration showing just how quickly and easily those findings can be documented in the patient record and translated into an actionable airway risk score.

“Desiccation Therapy: An Adjunct in Periodontal Care"
Speaker:Â Brittany Wragg, RDH
As periodontal care continues to evolve, clinicians have more options for supporting biofilm disruption, tissue management, and nonsurgical periodontal therapy. This course introduces desiccation therapy and examines how it can be incorporated into a comprehensive periodontal protocol. Participants will explore the mechanism of action behind desiccation technology, appropriate clinical indications, and its use before and after instrumentation. The course also addresses practical considerations such as inflammation and bleeding management, visibility, calculus removal, biofilm disruption, and implementation in everyday hygiene appointments. The emphasis is on understanding where desiccation therapy fits within evidence-informed periodontal care rather than treating any single adjunct as a replacement for thorough assessment, instrumentation, patient education, and ongoing maintenance.
